Copywriter (Freelance)

Remote - Freelance - Marketing

House of Om is hiring a freelance Copywriter to own the written voice of our school across web, email and newsletters, campaigns, paid ads, social and partnerships.

Our difference is how closely we hold and coach our students, before, during and long after their training. Your job is to put that difference into words people trust and act on.

You’ll sit in the Marketing team and work closely with the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Project Manager, designers, the video team, our internal sales team, teachers and our external paid-media agency.

This is a fast-paced role. Campaigns launch quickly, priorities shift week to week, and a brief can change the same day. You’ll thrive here if you move easily between storytelling and sales copy, turn work around fast without losing accuracy, and stay calm when plans move

About Us

House of Om is a global yoga teacher training school with programs in Bali, Thailand, India and online, and a new Sanctuary in Bangkok.

Our purpose is to help people deepen their practice, reconnect with themselves and share yoga with the world. Every word we publish, from a program page to a single email, is an invitation into that journey.

Why join us?

  • Own the voice of a global, mission-driven brand
  • See your copy go live fast and see its impact directly in campaign results
  • Work with an international team that cares about doing things well
  • Direct access to the Head of Marketing and real ownership of your work

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaigns & sales enablement

    • Write campaign messaging for training launches and promotions: value proposition, offer framing, bonuses and CTAs
    • Write separate campaign briefs for each audience: our paid-media agency, affiliates and the internal sales team
    • Write sales material the team uses in conversations: offer summaries, FAQs, email and WhatsApp scripts, follow-up sequences
    • Own accuracy in every claim. Inclusions, pricing, meals, access periods and bonuses must match what each program actually delivers, with no overselling
  • Website & landing pages

    • Write and maintain copy for program pages, landing pages, campaign pages and brand pages (e.g. “Our Partners”)
    • Shape page structure with design and development before build: hero lines, headings, benefit blocks, form copy
    • Apply SEO best practices without losing the brand’s warmth
  • Email, newsletters & automation

    • Write our regular newsletter for students, alumni and leads: school news, teacher and student stories, practice tips and upcoming trainings
    • Write campaign emails, launch sequences and nurture flows
    • Work with the email and automation team on copy for each stage of the student journey
  • Paid media & social

    • Write ad copy for Meta, Google and TikTok together with the paid-media team
    • Write social captions, short-form video scripts and copy for event graphics and banners
    • Write into structured fields (Headline, Subtext, CTA) for our ClickUp-to-Canva automation, respecting character limits
  • Partnerships & co-branding

    • Write partner spotlights and co-branding stories
    • Keep partnership copy clearly separate from our affiliate program. Partner pages are about mutual endorsement, not commissions or codes
  • Brand voice & teaching content

    • Own and document the House of Om tone of voice and a copy style guide for the whole team
    • Work with teachers to turn training content into clear, accurate marketing and educational copy
    • Edit and proofread copy written by others across the team
    • Review performance with the team and iterate based on feedback and data

Other Information

What success looks like

Timeframe Outcome
First 30 days You know our trainings, offers and students well enough to explain them in your own words, and you’ve audited existing web and campaign copy and flagged inaccuracies
First 60 days Audience-specific briefs and sales copy for a live campaign are delivered, the first newsletters are out, and copy formats for our main social and design templates are in place
First 90 days A written House of Om voice and style guide is shared with the team, and key website pages have been rewritten or launched

On an ongoing basis, we’ll look at campaign conversion, newsletter engagement, enquiry quality, turnaround time and how rarely copy needs correcting for accuracy.
